One of the exciting aspects of doing location photography, is that sometimes things don't always work out the way you expect them. Take my photoshoot with Matt and Abby and their children last week. They were looking for something specific, so I suggested one of my favorite sites, Wickham Park in Manchester CT. Now, I grew up in Manchester, and for as long as I remember, Wickham park was open every day as long as the sun was shining. So you can imagine my surprise when i turned into the front gate at the appointed hour, only to find it closed!

Fortunately, I still met up with the family and we went for a nice walk up the long hill lawn of the park to the cabin gardens. After we caught our breath, we had a great time taking pictures of the kids on the bright sunny autumn day! The long climb didn't even blunt their boundless energy.
