Flower portraits

While traveling in Maine this weekend, I played with a vintage Super-Takumar 1:3.5/135 lens with a vintage Canon Close up 450 filter on my vintage (for digital cameras, anyway ) Rebel XT to take a couple of portrait shots of tiny little Maine flowers at the edge of a field. Each of these open flowers is smaller then the size of a dime, and out of necessity, I had to freehold the filter to the lens, not having a proper step down ring from the 58mm filter  to 49mm lens.

Those of you with a passion for vintage photographic gear may ooh and ahh now. The rest of you can just look at the pretty flowers.

Loving the creamy bokeh of the wide open lens here... ISO 800, f/3.5 1/250 sec
The narrow depth of field here really shows. ISO 800, f/3.5, 1/500
What more to say? ISO 1600,  f/3.5,  1/640
